The 4th of July is just around the corner and if you live in the South,  the weather is an uninvited guest at any function that centers around outside entertaining.  As a little girl, I have great memories of running around in crisp cotton smocked dresses that hung fron the shoulders while the breeze of those lazy days floated around you.  As an adult, a great cotton dress can still be about the coolest and comfortable option you have to stay ahead of the weather.

For today's busy Mom,  a great maxi dress with a pair of comfortable yet stylish sandals can be just the ticket.  If it is extremely hot a sundress is a great solution for it stays comfortable while allowing you to be stylish.  For a lot of women however, your favorite pair of jeans and an easy top are hard to beat. While skinny jeans are a must, perhaps a loose fitting one is a better choice in the heat.   I love this chambray shirt tunic shown below with a white pair of cropped jeans and your favorite sandals as an alternative.
