It's a Body Thing

Do you need to be a supermodel or an actress to wear some of the best jeans offered in the market?  Of course not, everyone likes a good dependable jean that fits and is reliable.  It doesn't have to cost a fortune to be a great jean.  Don't know what kind to buy for your body type?  Stop worrying and abide by a few simple rules to keep you on the right track.

Connie Britton is shown wearing a pair of NYDJ in the Jade legging with an Amethyst wash.  These retail for $104.  She is rocking this jean with a pair of ballet flats and a cute tied blouse, and topping it off with a Fedora. Rule number one, stick to the basics on color and textures if you are a bit more reserved and are trying to reinvent your look with different accessories.  It is also very helpful that she made sure her fit was perfect and not too tight or too loose, for both are offenders.  Also noted is that she is pretty tall and has long legs so she could easily wear the ballet flats with the skinny jean.  She  chose a top that cinched at the waistline to show off the long legs and de-emphasize the waist line, but kept it sleeveless to show off those pretty and toned arms.

This second look of the NYDJ in the coated finish in an ankle length is great if you are taller.  If you are shorter put on some heels and give that illusion of a much longer leg.  Coated jeans are one of the hottest trends for this Fall being done by almost every jean company.  If you a little fashion forward and don't mind the looks you may get, start the trend in your area and kill it with this great look.  These are the Angelina Leggings in Coated Denim from NYDJ  retailing at $140.00.  This is a great choice for a medium height, long waisted body type.  She smartly wore a little heel and a fitted top with a slight peplum bottom to add curves to a very thin frame, and to de-emphasize the long torso.

Last but very definitely not least is Olivia Munn in the DL1961 Emma shown in Cobra, retailing for $248.00.  This is a great very slim skinny legged jean for DL1961.  It is a slimming silhouette and is very on trend for now.  Rule number 3, "Know your body type, embrace it and then dress it appropriately. " You don't have to be extremely tall to pull off a two toned jean.  Add a heel as done here for better height to elongate the leg, and accentuate your assets.  The very small waist is emphasized here with the peplum top and at the same time de-emphasizing the hip area, yet emphasizing very pretty, sleek, toned arms.

Look at your body, and embrace you.  Dress for the things you love about yourself and the also the things you love a little less.  Dressing smart is easy, just be honest with yourself.
